What’s a movie or book that inspired you to travel?
Right now, I’d have to say The Odyssey.
I’m currently studying Greek mythology, and the more I learn, the more I want to visit Greece. I’d love to stand among the ancient temples, walk through the ruins, and see the landscapes that have inspired stories for thousands of years. Watching films set during the Trojan War only deepens that curiosity.
Other movies have added to my travel list as well.
The Spider-Man films made Paris look breathtaking. With the possibility that some of my ancestors came from France and Belgium, visiting those places feels even more meaningful.
Then there’s You Me & Tuscany. The rolling vineyards, peaceful countryside, and slower pace of life make Tuscany seem like a place where you could simply breathe, reflect, and appreciate the beauty around you.
I’ve realized that movies don’t just entertain me; they introduce me to places I never knew I wanted to see.
Perhaps one day, those places will become more than scenes on a screen. They’ll become memories of my own.
