Which outdated technology do you miss the most, and why?

Without a doubt, Blockbuster.

Going there every week was an event. We’d walk through the aisles, pick up movie cases, read the back covers, and debate what we’d take home for the weekend. Half the fun was choosing the movie.

I also miss cassette tapes.

Whenever I discovered a song I loved, I’d sit with my tape player and listen carefully to every lyric. I’d pause the tape, write down a few words, press play again, and repeat the process until I’d written out the entire song.

Looking back, it took a lot more patience than simply searching for lyrics online.

Technology has made life more convenient, and I’m grateful for that. But sometimes I miss the anticipation, the effort, and the little traditions that came with older technology.

Some memories are worth more than convenience.
